As some of you know true faith is currently selling a range of new t-shirts and all of which have exclusive designs.

We have also decided to sell a t-shirt from which all of the profit will be donated to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation. The t-shirt is being sold with the agreement and permission of the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, who we have supported from day one of its founding and who we will continue to support in any way we can going forward.’
I’m sure no-one really needs to be told about the great work the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation raises money to fund but just in case it is to provide the investment required for clinical trials for cancer drugs here in the North East of England.
Many of us have been and will be touched by cancer in our lives and whilst there have been many breakthroughs and advances, the work of the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation is one of many charities continuing great work across the whole range of cancer research.’
The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation has been characterised by lots of ordinary people performing a lot of small-scale fund-raising which has raised a staggering amount of money.
As Newcastle United supporters we of course have a special bond and respect for Sir Bobby Robson and one of the most striking of his quotes was this one:
“What is a club in any case?
Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it. It’s not the television contracts, get-out clauses, marketing departments or executive boxes.
It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city.
It’s a small boy clambering up stadium steps for the very first time, gripping his father’s hand, gawping at that hallowed stretch of turf beneath him and, without being able to do a thing about it, falling in love.”
We have now put that quote with a graphic of Sir Bobby on a t-shirt and sales have been pretty good. We would like to raise ‘1000 from the profit from the t-shirts and over the season we are hoping to do that.
