After a week of angst and emotion following the end of the transfer window with no players signed and rumours swirling regarding the future of our beloved manager, Rafa Benitez, the TF Podcast caught up with George Caulkin of the Times.’
George is one of the most respected journalists covering United and has become something of a regular guest on TF Podcasts going back many years.
We are delighted he has joined us again and we encourage you to tune in and listen to a proper journalist give his views on matters Black & White.

Well let’s agree that we may have to wait to find out, but if Ashley allows Rafa to go (however they try to pass that off) then it really must be time for the fans to act. If they allow Ashley to mug them again, then really there is nothing left to say about those that would continue to support that regime. Maybe our own day of reckoning is approaching to see what is left of the Geordie fighting spirit.
Well, this has certainly made me feel rather depressed. The thought of promotion without Rafa at the helm is not something I even want to consider. Will Ashley ever learn ?
Like Andy H, I found this a worrying but extremely informative and quality listen. If Ashley cannot recognise what he has in a manager like Benitez then there really is no hope for the club under this ownership.
I wasn’t too concerned about the Rafa situation but after listening to that I’m very worried.
Excellent listen. It makes me wonder how a local Radio station cannot produce high quality content such as this blog.
