The new issue of true faith (TF114) is now available for down-load with an extremely affordable subscription.
One of the areas we have really been able to ramp up in the new, expanded DIGITAL version of true faith is our coverage of the history and nostalgia of Newcastle United.
In this latest issue of true faith, we have three features which are great reading for those of you who like to wander down memory lane and find out more about the history of our great club.
The 60 Second Season
This regular feature in true faith is now getting right into its stride and is at the period in Newcastle United’s history, which is without question its most glorious era. Chris Laws is the author of this brilliant piece of history and with the club reaching the 1906/07 season in this issue, this really isn’t to be missed.
Turncoats and Scapegoats
There were sharp intakes of breath on both sides of the North East football divide last summer when Jack Colback made the switch from the Wear to the Tyne. There is no question navigating the chasm between Newcastle United and them is something of a feat given the intensity of our rivalry. However, Jack isn’t the first to make the move and in this brilliant piece of detailed and painstaking research, Mark Brophy explores the history of such transfers, exploring every move from Sunderland to Newcastle United in what is a superb piece of writing.
Class of 91 Not surprisingly, the media has been full of coverage regarding Man Utd’s Class of ’92 flick but what about Newcastle United’s very own Class of ’91?
Its often forgotten that United had their very own crop of local lads who came through the ranks to establish themselves in the United first team and who went on to have brilliant careers. We were delighted when Marc Corby joined the true faith team last season and this piece confirms why we were so delighted to have him on board. Not only is this is a great piece of writing but the photos and other images pulled together by Marc for this feature is absolutely brilliant.
All three of these features put a massive tick in the true faith box of informing and entertaining our fellow supporters. All three pieces have been written by Mags who click through the turnstile and are people just like you – people who love Newcastle United. You can get signed up to true faith for a mere £17.99 annual cost. Or you could go for the
£5.99 quarterly option. Each season we bring out ten issues and each issue will have a minimum of 100 pages, though some will have more, like this one coming in on 108 pages.
