Your Letters

Dear tf,
Gareth,

It was Danny Simpsons fault not Side Show Bobs man.

Ujpest

Ed: he’s been sent to bed with no tea.

Dear tf,

read this drivel penned by Bob Cass of 'The Mail' yesterday after our 6-1 drubbing of Barnsley.

"Such weaponry may be good enough here but in the Premier League they
could be lambs to the slaughter. There is a lovable gullibility about United fans borne out of a misapprehension their club should be up there mixing it on a level
playing field with the big guns.

Under current owner Mike Ashley, however, this looks a forlorn hope."

He might have a valid point regarding Ashley but referring to us as 'Lovably gullible ' boils my piss. You can only beat what is put in front of you, and we did that with some style, yet this twat can't even give us credit when it's due and honestly believes that we are so f*cking dimwitted that we think we are a match for the top four of the
premiership....... what a fucking cock man.

I'd love to see him air this point of view in the Strawberry after a game, he'd find out how 'Lovably gullible' we really are. Perhaps it his he that is under 'misapprehension' The Cunt!

Dear tf,

I've got to say (and i hope i'm not doing this too soon) i've never ever been a fan of Steve Harper but his performances or should i say concentration levels have been excellent this season (baring the odd thing - but that would be harsh). When he's been called upon he's made some quite brilliant saves but yesterday he went up in my estimation as a bloke too.

Lets put it this way he ain't been exactly my favourite character either over the years for one reason and another but when the ball was up the other end of the field yesterday Coloccini dashed to him (after Nolan had gone off) to give him the captains armband. Harper refused it and waved Colo away, forcing it back onto Colo's arm. I thought it quite a selfless gesture and a pleasantly suprising one too, Well done Steve Harper.

'Kin hell i never thought i'd see the day i would say that.

Dear tf,
If Mr Llambias wants the ‘small and negative group who insist on chanting ugly abuse at Mike Ashley' to stop he’d be well advised not to have a pop at them in the match programme. They’re not likely to be won over by him implying they’re not proper supporters. As diplomacy goes these kind of negative comments aren’t exactly an olive branch, he may as well have ran around the SJP pitch with his cock out shouting mike is great and anyone who says otherwise will be banned from the ground.

Respect is a two way street Derek, and one good season in the Championship isn’t enough to make amends for the contempt you and Mike have shown the club and its supporters over the last three years. Nor is throwing your weight around a good way to generate trust. Kicking people out of the ground for having banners you don’t like, stopping the press from photographing protests, banning the Sunday Sun. None of this stuff builds any bridges. It only serves to create more bad blood and undermines Mike’s credibility. Nobody likes a dictator.

Dear tf,

What a load of complete fucking bollocks by Rod Liddle.

Chris Hughton has done his job. Nothing more, nothing less.

The team we have includes an array of international players, overpaid, I will admit, but better than most of the other championship teams.

The insidious crap spouted by Liddle about Hughton and the team being 'prepared to battle it out against the likes of Watford and Peterborough' really gave the game away that Liddle really is struggling to coherently cobble together anything remotely accurate about our team, our club, and our unfortunate present situation.

Watford and Posh? Well, fuck me pink, two teams worthy of use in an analogy, eh? They are both shite, posh are languishing at the bottom of a very, VERY average league at best, and the gulf between this league and the premiership, (over rated as it is) is huge.

The facts are obvious for anyone who has any sense.

Our squad has been cleared out, due to fat bollox stripping out the wage bill to cut overheads in his 'business', and recruit players on loans, free transfers, and anything at the bargain bucket equivalent. One of our most prolific scorers at present didn't even have a club at the start of the season, Lovenkrands.

Our club management are the laughing stock of the football world, two numpty headed cunts whom you wouldn't send to the chippy for a multiple order, they have both collectively ran our club into the ground with mind numbingly insane decisions which were either just plainly insane, or made whilst under the influence of imbibing some sort of chemical substance.

They managed to fuck over Kevin Keegan, one of our greatest managers in 30 years, edge out our greatest goalscorer, just when he was planning to organise the club properly with an overhaul, and they were left by default with Hughton.

Hughton, a decent bloke, but at the end of the day, sorry, but I will say it; Hughton is fat fatty bollox's puppet.

Ashley can control him and unfortunately everything else at present.

Liddles other nonsense about black players is equally off the target. Rio Ferdinand and Sol Campbell are hardly two players full of virtue after the shenanigans from both recently; drugs testing for the former, and a case of pure greed from the latter at a club like Portsmouth who have their own financial problems. Anyone with any decency would come to some sort of arrangement whilst an ex club are trying to scrape together wages for their current players each week. Phew.

Also, more to the point, both Campbell and Ferdinand have had a propensity for lacking concentration, and making silly errors, just like our own former centre half, Titus Bramble, which doesn’t do much for his counter argument against an argument that shouldn’t and isn't even there in the first place.

If I was to say objectively that Rio Ferdinand wouldn't lace a fit Woodgate's boots, does that make me racist?

Biased maybe yes, but nothing to do with colour or racism at all.

Similarly, if I say in my opinion that I have yet to see a world class black goalkeeper, then would that make me racist as well?

To play the race card whilst bleating about some sort of nonexistent injustice about hughton not getting the spurs job permanently, or not getting on in football management exposes Liddle for what he is; a reporter bereft of anything fundamentally sound to say.

You see, I don’t care what colour, creed or background players come from, or managers. If the person does their best for Newcastle United, be it on the pitch, managing the team, or whatever, then he or she would get the vast majority of us 100% behind them.

It is reporters like Liddle who misunderstand the difference between the social undercurrents of regions were historically they have held viewpoints on certain issues, but which have never wavered or merged into the central ethos of football, and it's worldwide appeal.

Our fan base is now global. We have supporters from different religions, political outlooks, backgrounds, nationalities, and so on; but the one thing that brings us all together is our love of Newcastle United.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but this sycophantic brown nosing to Hughton about something that isn't there, is just superficial nonsense.

Hughton has done his job, Ashley has raped our club and is still dry humping for all he is worth, eyes closed tight, dreaming of the day he gets his money back.

If we do get up to the premiership, then I, for one would definitely not want Hughton in charge of us.

Preferably I would love to see the back of the two numpties, and a new owner with a bit of common sense and drive, who will appoint a manager capable of taking the club forward and attracting world class players to adorn our famous black and white stripes.

I don't care if that new manager is black, white, or bright pink from lying in the sun for too long, as long as he can do a good job, - that'll do me.

Liddles last paragraph reverts back to the all too easy stereotypes used time and time again by the ignorant and misled, convinced we have an inflated sense of importance, or 'intimations of greatness' as he puts it.

We don't.

We are a proud club, we have the best supporters in the world, loyal to a fault, who turn up rain, hail, sleet or snow, all whilst tolerating an utter buffoon reduce our position in world football to where we were some 20 years ago.

Anyway, in closing, Mr. Liddle, I wish you and others would actually talk to some supporters, get a feel of what makes us tick, what makes us the loyal followers that we are, and stop writing the same worn out over used clichés and hitching a lift on the old 'Geordies expect success' band wagon.

It's just as well we are obviously not a big club, otherwise journalists up and down the country would be writing the same shite about us too all the time.....lol

It must be really eating away at them all we didn't fall away as they so dearly wished.
