As is now becoming a routine, the Newcastle United Fans Foodbank will be holding a collection before the game with Leeds United at St James’ Park on Good Friday.
The collection point will be opposite Nine Bar at the Gallowgate End on Strawberry Place and be there from 5pm.
The items we are told that are needed are:
Tea, Coffee, Sugar Pasta / Cooking Sauces Tinned Tomatoes Easter Treats
There will also be the opportunity to give cash donations too.
So far, Newcastle United supporters have donated more than 10 tonnes of food and over £5000 in donations since the collection points were set up and has played in an invaluable role in providing support to some people in our communities who are in dire need. The Food Parcels have been given to children and people with disabilities.
The Newcastle West End Foodbank who co-ordinate the collections is the biggest in the UK and works with other local foodbanks so donations to the Newcastle United Fans Foodbank go all over Tyneside and the wider region.
Everyone who is donating even the smallest amount is making a massive difference to those facing real crisis in their lives.
