MESSAGE OF SUPPORT FROM RANGERS FANS GROUP – Sons of Struth

by • April 15, 2015 • NewsComments (1)1016

Ahead of Sunday’s #BoycottSpurs we received this message of support from the highly successful Rangers supporters fan group, Sons of Struth. Sons of Struth have been highly active in opposition to Mike Ashley and his disgraceful treatment of their much-loved football club and know more than most the poisonous influence he and his company has had on football clubs given his record at St James’ Park and Ibrox.

Going forward, it is expected that a great deal of collaboration in how fans of Rangers and Newcastle United will occur in terms of how the fight is taken to Ashley and Sports Direct.

Therefore we are delighted to publish this message from our friends in Glasgow:

Sons of Struth fully support the Newcastle United fans who intend to boycott their club’s SonsofS1game v Spurs on Sunday.

Boycotting the club you love is not a decision made lightly and is indeed the ultimate sacrifice a football fan can make. Those who choose to boycott should be applauded for their efforts.

As a group of Rangers fans we are well aware of Mike Ashley’s one-sided deals with football clubs and his attempts to take as much as possible from fans when a more supportive approach would no doubt gain greater, long term benefits for him.

Ashley doesn’t care for your club, Ashley doesn’t care for your fans, Ashley’s only concern is Sports Direct.

Good luck to the Newcastle United fans taking a stance on Sunday and with drive and BoycottSpurs+FB-1determination your numbers will grow.

The fans will eventually win as you were there before him, will be there after him and will be there forever.

Action not apathy will win through.

We have had dialogue with many Newcastle United fans in recent months and plan more talks with potential joint action going forward. We are united by one thing, Ashleys greed

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Thank you for your help and support, Sons of Struth, it’s very much appreciated. I had a couple of great rips to Ibrox in the nineties, for Ally McCoist’s testimonial and for the tournament with our clubs, Man Utd and Sampdoria. Spent a few enjoyable hours in the Stadium Bar on both occasions among hospitable people. All the best.
