Newcastle United walked away from Villa Park with 1 point in a game that should’ve been won in the first half. Like Phoenixlogoanyone who was there in May 2009 I have a severe hatred towards Villa their supporters and the general horribleness of that football club and city.

With that in mind I travelled to Birmingham intent on spending as little time in Witton as possible. Therefore, missing the Witton Arms which always seems to be full of dickheads throwing beer about.

After a few Pints in Birmingham with the usual faces we jumped in a taxi up to Villa Park where on entering we were met with usual carry on which seems to happen here every season. The West Midlands police are up their with any force from Yorkshire for utter bellend behaviour.

United dominated the first half with Shelvey in particular pulling the strings, its imperative for us to keep him fit and get sels3him on the ball at every occasion. He’s a class above this league . Another who impressed was Yedlin who came in for the suspended Anita. With Yedlin at right back United had much more purpose when attacking in wide positions.

Yedlin attacking nature led to the opener. A clever little ball from Hayden put Yedlin in and his teasing delivery was screwed home by Aston Vile’s skipper. Bedlam in what was a well inebriated away end.

At this point Villa looked terrified every time United went forward and Rafa’s men should’ve went two up when good pressure from Gayle forced Elphick into an error. Gayle then inexplicably failed to score when one on one. You cant miss those chances whatever the level.

The lad looks like he needs a goal and for me Rafa needs to stick with one main striker(If we’re going to play 4-3-3). Personally I feel its a position, along with keeper, where you don’t rotate.

At HT United comfortably led 1-0, but I was pretty adamant Aston Villa couldn’t be as bad in the 2nd half and sadly for uscity-tshirt-ad I was right.

However, the game should’ve been dead early in the 2nd half when Shelvey’s cut back gave Diame a chance from 6 yards out to make it 2-0. Somehow he screwed it wide. On Diame he’s another who needs a big performance, I struggle to remember other than a 45 minute spell at Bristol City him doing anything of note. Lets hope these big performances start on Wednesday.

After Diame’s miss United were very much 2nd best with Villa having their spell in the game. They had a goal rightly disallowed where our keeper looked once again very suspect. More than anything I worry about his positioning and his understanding of angles. These are simple things in my opinion. I think we’ve signed a dud. I really hope i’m wrong.

Villa started to press forward a lot and hit the post through Ayew. As the game was edging towards its climax it looked like Yedlin, Dummett and particularly Clark were going to get their just rewards for very good performances.

Unfortunately, for them we had that daft clown Mitrovic up front. His ridiculous backheel led to Villa earning the corner for their  equaliser. The Serbian Centre forward constantly says Alan Shearer is his hero, well he should start watching videos of what Big Al used to do when we needed to keep the ball at 1-0 up. He wont find any fucking backheels from Big Al.

Villa’s equaliser looks very poor on second viewing with Sels again suspect getting beat at his near post when in no mans
land. As i said earlier I hope I’m wrong but I worry about the lad. Saying that anyone who @’s him or any other player on twitter needs to get a grip. The current batch want to be here and we need to get right behind them on Wednesday night. Lets make it fucking horrible for Norwich.

In the end it was two points dropped, but after Norwich we have quite a nice little run. A win on Wednesday would be a massive boost and I for one fancy Rafa & the lads to get the 3 points.

No groaning on whinging on Wednesday please. Just proper Newcastle United support.

Onwards and upwards.

Newcastle United: Sels(5- Looks suspect all the time), Yedlin 8-(Hope his injury isn’t serious. Gave us an added dimension in attack) (Tiote 75)(Looked very unfit), Lascelles(7- Solid again), Clark (9 – Very impressed again), Dummett 7-(Much better away from home), Hayden 6, Shelvey 7 – Ran the game for 50 minutes, Ritchie 6, Gouffran 6 , Diame 5, Gayle 4 (Mitrovic 80- 3)

Our Support: 5 – Great numbers but a bit of an odd crowd. Why did the clap start again?!?! Never been done for ages and its time to move on. Deducted points for booing Villa not doing it. Tits.

Their Support: 1 – Shite numbers and sniveling wankers the lot of them. I hope I never go there again.
