Reading - Barclays Premiership

Location – Madejski Stadium   Kick Off – 20.00pm   Date – Monday 30th April 2007
Tickets - On General Sale   Coverage – Live on SkySports 1 & and the usual radio stations
Referee - Mike Riley

When I heard that Sam "Big Sam" Allardyce had walked away from Bolton earlier today, a horrible thought crossed my mind - Monday's game away at Reading could be Roeder's last game in charge, and big faced Sam could be our new manager come Tuesday morning. A scary thought I know, but in the world of NUFC (especially with that fat fuck Shepherd in charge) we all know that anything is possible and it would not surprise me in the least. He's been linked with us before (turned us down if you believe the media) and I've no doubt that Shepherd would be keen. Jesus, I'm scaring myself now. .....(shakes head vigorously to shift the thoughts).... Anyway, whatever happens it's the game that matters and we're all really looking forward to it aren't we? A trip to London on a Monday night to see us get beat (my prediction pop pickers!) is what we all live for, especially when we should see some more of that fine slick football that we've been treated to all season. Ahem! Forgive me if I appear flippant, but it's all just very tiresome at the minute and I for one can't wait to do and etcha-sketch style start again (you know, shake it till the picture's all gone and you're left with a nice clear screen) on the season.

Likely Squads:

Reading - Hahnemann, Federici, de la Cruz, Halford, Ingimarsson, Duberry, Bikey, Shorey, Oster, Seol, Harper, Gunnarsson, Sidwell, Hunt, Kitson, Doyle, Long

Man to Watch – Sidwell – An early look at a player who could be in B&W next year?

Fitness News – Graeme Murty, Glen Little, Bobby Convey and Ibrahima Sonko all out.

NUFC - Harper, Srnicek, Solano, Carr, Babayaro, Taylor, Bramble, Onyewu, Moore, Ramage, Butt, Parker, Milner, Emre, Dyer, N'Zogbia, Martins, Owen, Sibierski, Luque, Carroll, Ameobi.

Man to Watch
– Steve Harper – Just to see how long he can take over his goal kicks.

Fitness News – Duff & Given are fecked (see what I did there?) but Ameobi & Owen could be involved at some stage, and pointless as it would be.

"Reason's to be cheerful" – After this one there's only 2 games left before we can put this shit sorry season behind us.
