What a week! Promotion secured with the victory over Preston at St James’ Park and just shy of 5,000 at Cardiff on Friday night to see us break a club record with fourteen away wins in a single season.  Not bad eh?

Then came Saturday, if Sunderland getting relegated after years of stinking out the Premier League for years wasn’t bad enough, Brighton decided to choke it at home to Bristol City and must now go to Villa and win next week to win the league. We, of course have to beat Barnsley at St James’ Park next Sunday but that is an eminently achievable task.

Promotion has been achieved. The club has been rescued and no man can take more credit for what has been achieved than Senor Rafael Benitez. The display is designed to pay tribute to the manager and the team for winning promotion but also to provide the encouragement to win the Championship trophy which is now within reach.

Gallowgate Flags will be putting a full display on before the game with Barnsley. But we all need to play our part.

Gallowgate Flags want all supporters to be part of this pre-match display. We can all do this by bringing all flags, scarves and everything else we can get our hands on to turn St James’ Park into a sea of Black & White as Rafa’s Mags take to the pitch next Sunday.

As a certain recently relegated goal-keeper from Wearside said 12 months ago, now is the time to get the rave on. Though he was a bit premature in that.

The display will provide more evidence of the continuing love and support there is for Newcastle United Football Club.

Be part of it.

GET THE RAVE ON!
