As Saturday edges ever more closer, Gallowgate Flags is working intensely to make the first display, Black & White Day a resounding success. But it needs help.

An amazing number of volunteers has already stepped forward to offer their services and ultimately it is they who will determine the day’s success. But more volunteers are needed and quickly.

Gallowgate Flags has an amazing number of volunteers in The Corner and the lower tier of the Gallowgate but GFlag4could benefit from more in the Gallowgate middle tier stepping up and offering their services.

So, no matter where you are in the Gallowgate, but particularly the middle tier and West Corner (towards The Milburn), you are needed to volunteer for a bit of flag waving duty.

Please get in touch on’contact@gallowgateflags.co.uk‘and give details of your name, season ticket and seat number. Gallowgate Flags will do the rest and give you all of the gen.

This is what Rafa Benitez said about the Gallowgate Flags initiative and the upcoming Black & White Day:

‘The atmosphere that the fans create already is amazing, but for our fans to organise something like this shows the huge passion of the Geordies to support their team.’I know it will make the noise and the atmosphere in St James’ Park even more special than usual, and that will be fantastic.’I would like to thank everyone involved with this project on behalf of myself and the players. It is things like this that can really make the difference for us over a long and challenging season ahead.’
