Our man, Dave Ted Edwards steps up to the plate to give us his first Packet of Ten, one of Tedour many distractions from the persistent headache that is Newcastle United Football Club. Apart from being a distant relation to the now deceased Palestinian Liberation Organisation’s very own Yasser Arafat, this Durham Mag’s musical taste has improved rapidly since he started sitting next to cool cats from Gateshead at the match. All of the Curiosity Killed The Cat and Simply Red records have now gone to that charity shop on Clayton Street. Yes, you were spotted!

He may turn up for games variously looking like an extra from Heroes of Telemark or en-route to the Henley Regatta but he’s not a bad sort really. Mossad agents in the Durham City area however, may disagree.

Anyway, eyes down this is Ted’s Packet of Ten for you:

Sex Pistols – Satellite

Joy Division – Digital

Lee Dorsey – Give It Up

Madness – Bed and Breakfast Man

Bob Dylan – Shelter from the Storm

The Smiths – Sheila Take a Bow

The Beat – Save it for Later

Stone Roses – Elephant Stone

The Who – Can’t Explain

New Order – World (Price of Love)

This selection was brought to you by David Ted Edwards. TF_INITIALS_LOGO
